TSB: TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF…
TSB: WHAT IS YOUR SKIN TYPE?
TL: Normal to dry
TSB: WHAT DOES YOUR MORNING ROUTINE LOOK LIKE?
TL: Currently (as it tends to change) I like using either Indie Lee’s Brightening Cleanser or Tatcha’s Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser, they’re both in my shower so I do tend to switch them up day to day. Then I love Indie Lee’s CoQ-10 Toner, I’m a huge fan of Indie and her line, I got to meet her when she was in Toronto last year and I was hooked! I then use either Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Micro Serum; this has been a favourite of mine for years, or Caudalie’s Premier Cru Serum. Then if I’m not going to wear makeup I’ll really lather on the cream, especially this time of year, when my skin tends to be dry. Even though I’m a makeup artist and I love makeup, I do believe in skin first and I think it’s so important to give your skin a break from makeup at least once a week if you can. Anyways back to my morning routine ; ) after I put on serum I use the Joanna Vargas Revitalizing Eye Cream then Indie Lee’s Squalane Facial Oil, (this might be my favourite skincare product!) and then I use and like both Tatcha’s The Water Cream and The Silk Cream, it just depends how dry my skin is that day. I’ve also started to use Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream and I love it! Then lastly I use the Chanel Hydra Lip Balm.
TSB: WHAT IS YOUR NIGHT ROUTINE?
TL: It’s somewhat similar to my morning routine but I’ll try to keep it simple ; ) I use either Framacy’s Green Clean Cleansing Balm or Pai’s Hydrating Cleanser, they both melt away my makeup and leave my skin feeling soft. I then use Indie Lee’s CoQ-10 Toner, then I either use Sunday Riley’s Luna Night Oil, Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil or Indie Lee’s Squalane Facial Oil (it really depends, I can’t just pick one!). Then I finish it off with a night cream, recently I’ve been loving Caudalie’s new Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Night Cream. Then Joanna Vargas Revitalizing Eye Cream and Chanel Hydra Lip Balm. Wow that’s a lot LOL.
TSB: WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE PRODUCT YOU CANT LIVE WITHOUT?
TSB: IF YOU WERE STUCK ON AN ISLAND WHAT 5 BEAUTY PRODUCTS YOU WOULD TAKE?
TL: Well if I was stuck on an island I’m thinking I probably wouldn’t need much makeup, am I alone on this island, haha.
TSB: WHATS ON YOUR BEAUTY WISH LIST AT THE MOMENT?
TL: Umm good question, I’d really love to get my hands on some more Tata Harper products, I have one of her masks and I love it. I’d also love to get La Mer’s Regenerating Serum, it’s so expensive : ( but I’ve heard it’s amazing!
TSB: WHATS YOUR BEAUTY ADVICE?
TL: Have fun with it, don’t take it too seriously, use and put on makeup/ skincare products that make you happy, not what you think you need to put on. Wear sunscreen, drink lots of water and take vitamins daily : )
TSB: WHAT IS YOU GO-TO MAKE UP LOOK?
TL: I just like a fresh natural look, sometimes a smokier eye. I do love eyeliner and I love putting it in my waterline however I don’t love wearing a ton of makeup, I like to let my skin shine through, I also don’t think I look good with a lot of makeup on, I find it can make me look old : ( LOL
TSB: WHAT IS YOUR SIGNATURE SCENT?
TL: I love perfume! If you follow me on IG you already know this but if I had to pick my one signature scent I think it would have to be La Tulipe from Byredo.
TSB: WHO IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY DO YOU ADMIRE AND WHY?
TL: I’ll have to pick two, Gucci Westman and Nikki DeRoest, I think they’re both such amazing makeup artist and both so inspiring; I have admired Gucci for years. I’d love to be able to do what they do one day, here’s hoping!
